Colorado CHP Training for Thornton Residents

Thornton is one of Colorado's largest cities, and its residents along the US-36 and I-25 corridors have easy access to PG Firearms Training's professional CHP certification course. Our course is taught by Paul Grossman, a Police Sergeant and certified law enforcement firearms instructor who brings real-world experience into every class.

Adams County residents — including those in Thornton — submit their CHP applications to the Adams County Sheriff's Office. We cover the full application process in class, including what documentation to bring, how fingerprinting works, and what to expect during the background check period.

Thornton students often come to us after hearing about our small class sizes and law enforcement instruction background. We don't fill seats to maximize revenue — we keep classes small so every student gets the attention they need on the range and in the classroom.

Why Thornton-Area Students Choose PG Firearms Training

North Denver metro residents have several training options, but few instructors bring active law enforcement credentials to the classroom. Paul Grossman's background means you're learning use-of-force law and safe handling from someone who applies these standards professionally every day.

We explain the Adams County CHP process in detail — including common application mistakes that cause delays. Thornton students leave class knowing exactly what to do next, not just that they passed a qualification.

Our range sessions are structured and unhurried. We cover the fundamentals before the qualification, and we make sure every student is confident and safe before they shoot. If you need extra time, you get it.
